Plan for Saturday! :)

Tomorrow is the BIG day! Although after almost two weeks of work on the house it isn't going to look nearly as bad as it was--it's amazing what 15 gallons of primer, 30 gallons of paint and tearing out pet stained carpet can do for a house. But there is still lots to be done so we can move in and anyone that can come help would be most appreciated! It's been fun turning this very sadly neglected house into something livable!

We're starting at 7 AM because there is a lot that needs to be done outside too! (UGHHH I know) Like there is spray painting and such that just can't be done in the house. But for those of you who can't be outside there is plenty to do inside too! (I'm rambling again...let me just do some bullet points)

*7AM-1PM Cleaning and Painting (wear some major grubbies!)

*1 PM-Pete's & Pizza for Lunch

*1:15-Those that helped are WELCOME to go swimming!!!!! The pool turned out AMAZING (the landlord hired someone to clean it up and fix it!!) It's awesome! You'll need to bring your own towels and sunscreen :D

The day the earth stood still...

As I sit here I can hardly believe that time has passed through it's ever ticking motion. A year ago today I would have never believed it was possible for the hands of time to ever start again. Time is quite literally our mortal enemy yet has a way of bringing us such great peace. While lost in the seconds that didn't seem to tick forward, I had to hear the words that my dad was lost to me in this lifetime. There is part of you that knows that you will never recover, the world could not and can not ever be the same again. But part of you begs for the clock to start ticking ever faster because it brings the release and the healing your heart so desperately needs. I never thought a year could pass by, yet in all honesty and reality it speeds by so fast you can't believe the days ever happened. I miss him more than words can ever express but I'm so grateful for the knowledge I will see him again...and that just makes it bearable. So here's to you dad and all the memories that keep us going in your absence!

Alright Everyone here is the big SHOCKING NEWS!
We are coming home!
The crazy reality of life has finally caught up with us and we are ready to be back where we "belong"! I am so THRILLED and so SAD at the same time! My house here is huge and gorgeous and truly a dream come true, but it's okay to leave it and start over again! I'm dealing and life will be great 10 minutes from Matta's again! ;) woot!!!

So here is the kicker --- the rental house we are moving into for now was literally a DRUG HOUSE it's completely TRASHED and SOOOOOOOOOO nasty!!!! But it's right across the street from my sister in an AMAZING neighborhood  with FABULOUS schools and we're hoping to help break the cycle of this poor neglected home! BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!

This is SO HARD for me to ask but I'm sucking up all my pride and  I'm begging and pleading on my hands and knees for everyone I know that possibly can to come and help us on August 16th make this place livable. YES it will be hard work but we'll provide all the fun music, snacks, pizza and soda (of course lots of food ) and hopefully we can all have a great time giving back to the community and yes helping our little family be able to come home! We're actually going to need help the whole week before hand too if anyone can volunteer to help then.

She Breathes!!!

Yes I'm around! Summer is just kicking my baootie!!! We've had Amy here to visit and it was SO FANTABULOUS sure have MISSED HER!!! Then my sister Molly came up and she's here now, we're working away on the shop! YAHOO! Then I'm off to Colorado! So just not sure when I'll be back to check in! Don't give up on me I'll be back in full swing soon!!!!!!!!!!

Fireworks and Such!

Today was SO FUN! We ran some errands, cleaned up a bit, had a delicious home cooked meal (thanks Dave!), it rained and stormed all day, worked on our talks for church tomorrow, worked on our lessons for church tomorrow, worked, played, watched Harry Potter AND watched fireworks in the rain from our front porch! We didn't realize there was a fireworks show for Pioneer day at the College--so we headed outside to see what all the noise was! We walked out into the street and had a perfect view! So fabulous!

Plus I got some scrapping done today! Molly is doing these AWESOME silhouettes so I had to do mine! Hmmm not sure I ever posted Samantha's either I'll do that too!

 

A Thriller!

Okay I cant' stand it! THIS is FUNNY STUFF!!!!!!!!!!!! I was on my way to slumber land and my honey was like oh come back here you HAVE to watch this!!! Seriously funny! (At least it is in this house!!)

A Way to a {this} Woman's Heart!

So first it was a fish named Heratio (who died btw, and yes we spelled his name wrong too lol), then it was some glorious moss from the mountains which too died, and tonight my honey brought me home these. No feeding or watering required. Be still my pounding heart. I love you dear.

And in case you are wondering they are to use in my junque journal :D I won't even apologize for the picture because you all know about my need for a new camera .... but now... the camera card isn't working and it's the only one that survived LOL I think it deserves a medal for perseverance.

Fantabulousooo Weekend!

We had such a GREAT and WONDERFUL truly STELLAR weekend! For shizzle just read my sissy's blog for all the details she's already done all the hard work! ;) Loved your post sister! Today I got to catch up on some LO's for Christina Renee! (I was SO behind!!!) It was fun to be able to just relax and scrapbook a bit!

Sooooooo......

There are a LOT of fun things I can think of to do at 2:00 AM! Design Digi Products, Go snipe hunting, Cuddle with your honey, Blog surf, Eat Captain Crunch,Sleep? And in our case tear the carpet up, and try to figure out where a random sopping wet spot is coming from? We heard a drip drip drip and realized our air conditioner drain is totally backed up...but the carpet is wet in a place that doesn't make sense? So what is truly funny about the occasion is Dave is outside snaking a drain at 2 AM and I decide I just HAVE to blog about. We must keep a sense of humor at all times...there are much worse things in life to be sure. The question is what were you doing at 2 AM? Try not to be envious of me I'd feel real bad you couldn't join in on the fun! ;P

Welcome July!

Who wants to think that it's only going to get closer to Christmas than we are from the last one? WHERE is this year going!!?!! :) I just realized that I forgot to do flashback Friday last week too! I think I have a pretty good excuse? Thanks everyone for your sweet thoughts and notes and emails and everything! I'm doing fine and I'm TOTALLY enjoying this time at home!!!!!! Just thought I'd bop in tonight, I'm super busy working on the store full time while I can, so I'm going to skeedadle back over there! Happy wonderful July to everyone!

Sunday, Sunday!

What a wonderful Sunday this has turned out to be! Samantha and I got home safe from Mesa and we've had a wonderful afternoon filled with church, a home cooked meal, and watching The Sound of Music. We also got to be part of a massive wind and rain storm that was quite intense for the 10 minutes it lasted ;) Hey in this heat 10 minutes of relief is a wonderous occasion!

Our trip to Mesa was filled with nonstop fun of course, Mattas, Shopping, Movie (wallE was AWFUL beyond words, but at least we got to hang as a family and eat popcorn and M&Ms), making bracelets at the super fabulous house of mimi, chillin and going to the bead store.

The reason I went to Mesa was to pick up Samantha, she's been in Tennesse for the last week! She came home with all kinds of cute stories about her little cousin Brayden, a suitcase full of new clothes and a panda from Build-A-Bear. When your 10 that sounds like just about the perfect vacation! Thanks grandpa, Aunt Becky and Uncle Brett for taking good care of her!

A Sweet Day!

Since today is the first day of the rest of my life I decided to make it a SWEET ONE! Literally! Look what fun goodies are going in the shop!!

Sometimes.....

Life hands you lemons faster than you can make Lemonade.

I lost my job today, in "company cutbacks"--well they want me to work 8 hours a week. So to me that means fired since I'm the main support of our family right now (Real Estate being so bad).

Cool.

I say bring it on--if I open a lemonade stand will y'all buy a glass?
